Shell children poem by Kade

On Monday 10th of October room 3 started doing a narrative poem about Shell children. We were given a start and then we had to write the rest like a narrative, rhyming lines 2 and 4.. I hope you enjoy this poem.

The Shell Children

One night the shell children were hungry,
They needed some sweet leaves to eat.
They decided to go to the jungle,
And look for a pancake tree teat.

So off they wandered that evening,
In search for a wonderful snack.
But the earthquake bird suddenly landed
And they heard a pancake tree crack.

They ran and grabbed a pancake,
Then they sprinted away like mad.
The ground was shaking as the shell children ran home,
When they got there they got told off by their dad.

Next time they go to the forest,
The shell children have to ask their dad.
Their dad was relieved when he saw the earthquake bird leave,
When their dad saw the pancake he was glad.
