The Unimportant safe by Mathew

The Unimportant safe
I’ve just received a special safe that came from the government. It went through London and a lot more to get to Birmingham. On it, it says ‘to Sam Jackson from the government’. He asked me to crack it open, but the problem is, I don’t  know what the password is.

I’ve been up all night trying to crack it but there’s now another problem, the government wants it back in three days! So, on the internet I searched up most common passwords. All it came up with was 1234 and 12345, I tried that. It didn’t work, I knew it wouldn’t work. My brother called and when I picked up the phone he straight away said 1738, then he hung up.

I wondered what that could mean, I called him again, but he didn’t answer. I got an idea, the password. That
could be the it. So I tried it. It worked. I sent it back to the government, but it was nothing important. ‘Yeah next time it will be important, I hope.’

Miss J's plea to Room 3 parents

Hi everyone, please could you start regularly commenting on the blog. I am trying to get the children enthusiastic about being "published authors". When we comment on the blog we are published authors. It would be great if we could see your comments too to help the momentum and have "conversations" about their work. Thanks. Miss J.

The photo of the class dressed up.

Hi everyone, here is a nice picture of us with our buddies. Thanks to Shreya's mum Monika for the photo. Don't we look awesome?

Sammie's basket

On a wet day lunch Sammie made this amazing basket from Little Red Riding Hood. She spent a lot of time and effort all lunch. I think it is VERY colourful and Sammie loves her creations!

Smelly Bertie By David Roberts

We read a book today called Smelly Bertie.

Books should bring out emotions. Boy did we laugh out loud with this one!

It was about a child named Bertie who farted a lot. Bertie was proud of his farting, but no one else appreciated his farting. The rest of his family also farted. So Bertie showed us in the book how they liked to cover their farts up. Mum coughed at the same time, Dad did it sneakily and you wouldn't know until it hit you, Gran blamed it on the cat, his sister Suzie farted like a train when she thought no one was looking.

This was a very fun book to read. After the reading we went back to our table groups to see who could make the best fake fart sound, using only our mouths and arms / hands. This was hysterical. We had our finalists. Our Runner Up was Kade from Candy Bombers and Blake from #awesomecolony.

Please view these videos at your own risk.

Thanks Room 3.

Paper experiments

Room 3 did some paper experiments. In their table groups they had to figure out what types of folds and rips and whatnots to get their paper to fall the fastest or float the slowest. The table groups are: #AWESOME COLONY, GUMMY BEARS, CANDY BOMBERS, #KEMM, DA L😁L'S AND UNIPIGALLAMASAURS!

The fastest time was 0.14 seconds! The slowest was 12.34 seconds! That's really fast and slow for just a piece of paper to fall down! Room 3's results were the best! Room 3 did this experiment for two days. But we couldn't of done the experiments without Mr Powell. Room 3 thinks that it was really epic and would love to do more experiments with Mr Powell!
