Hills Bills

Senior school at Sunnyhills school are making these notes called Hills Bills. We are saving up our Hills Bills that teachers give us throughout the week so we can buy a travel package at the end of our inquiry. We will be finding out about other countries and their tourist places, then making up a travel package for other students to buy. It is going to be awesome.

We earn our Hills Bills by doing great things around the school and in the classrooom. Soom of us have earned $10,000 dollars already!! Each Hills Bill is worth $200.00. Go Room 3!!

The pack shapes

Today (after completing all the stuff for Miss J), Cameron and Haley designed pac-mans out of the maths equipment. They look really Cool! 

Fun with the ozobots From gabby

 Last week lots of us used the ozobots. They drew some rainbow lines and placed the ozobots on the track and the ozobots began to move! This is a basic way of computer coding. It was great fun. I can't wait to see what we have next week to tinker with.

Flag day

 Today was flag day as Sunnyhills. We had people from all different countries in Room 3. Bree from NZ, Haley from South Africa, Gabby from Samoa and Shreyas from India.

Faze one of term 2 art project

 Today Mrs Daniel did faze one of term two art project. She gave us a variety of coloured paint as well as white. We then mixed them together and painted them in streaks Don't they look great!

Room 3 Communication Book / Diary

Dear Parents, it has come to my attention that some students in Room 3, do not take home their diary every night (or take home the notices handed out). Please can you follow up, as even though some weeks nothing much is communicated, some weeks there is a lot.

It would be great if you could sign the communication book every evening. There is space for the children to write what they are reading each night, so to get your signature would be a way of checking they are reading every night too.

My Roll die writing :)

We wrote stories a while ago by rolling a die. What this means is basically you roll a die (one dice) with pictures and whatever picture you get,your story had to have it. My topic was a worried face)

The Prank

Once upon a time there was a small house. In that house was a young boy named Joey.

Now Joey here is 7 years old. He can sometimes get fooled into believing rumors and conspiracies very easily. Luckily there's not many rumors where he lives. One day Joey was playing with his best friend, Tom. Tom gave Joey a bite of his chicken burger. Joey's naughty older brother, Greg was seeing this. He loved playing tricks on Joey. So, when Joey finished eating his bit of the chicken burger, Greg told Joey that if he ate that chicken, he would become a chicken too!

Now Joey did NOT want to become a chicken,so he asked Greg if there was any way to prevent being turned into a weak little chicken. Greg said that the only way to prevent it was to eat LOTS of candy. So Joey went home and checked the lolly jar. There wasn't  many lollies left! Joey got really worried. Then Greg told Joey it was just a prank. Joey then chased after Greg.

Colourful cup art

 

Room 3 busy business... Last week room 3 made colourful cup art to lighten up the classroom. Mr Powell taught us (Miss J was on a course) and had the idea to make the cup art. There was loads of decorations on the table for us to choose from. But there was a twist. We had to buy the items with Monopoly money. We all started off with $750 of Monopoly money each. We all had lots of fun.

Writing on Rain

  

Room 3 have made stories about rain. We have been learning to listen to rain sounds and make a story oout of it. We had lots of fun coming up with ideas to put in our stories.
